Hi,
A few weeks before Christmas we started getting a problem with getting hot water from our Potterton Combi Boiler. The water starts off very hot for a few minutes. The lights on the combi boiler show the orange pilot light, 5 red lights and 2 green lights. For a few minutes all the lights stay on and then first the orange pilot light goes off and then one by one the red lights go leaving just two green lights, one of which flashes for a while and the water goes from boiling hot to lukewarm to cold. After turning off the tap the red lights come on again as does the orange pilot light. We have had three different British Gas engineers out, the last one came earlier this evening and each time it looks as though they have fixed the problem as the water when they test it and let it run stays hot. However, like the previous times when we have gone to run a bath later in the evening the same problem with the lights occurs and the water goes from hot to cold. The Engineers seem to have tried everything. They even thought as a last resort it could be the diverter but it turns out to not be the case. Has anyone had a similar problem? If so your comments would be appreciated. Many thanks.
