I have a Potterton Envoy 40 - twice in 1 week no hot water or heat......readout flashes with a 'C', I can restart boiler and all works OK.......but what does the 'C' mean? how can I stop it happening?
This error can be caused by blockages due to the BG style service of jamming an FGA into the flue, scratching one's gonads for 120 seconds then getting in the van. Thus, the boiler is not serviced properly.
Either way an RGI needs to check the boiler for this as it is a flame failure code.
These arent very good boilers at all and most have now been replaced. OK, my business is installing, not repairs, but some designs aren't economically worth keeping on life support, and the Envoy is right up there with Keston.
