I have recently moved into a new house and it has a Potterton Ep2002 timer fitted, there where no instructions left by previous owner so I was wondering if anybody would know the following:-

It has 2 timer settings one for during the week and one for weekends, I have these set for my heating

There is no function to set different times for heating the water, I dont want it to be heating the water all the time the heating is on as it will cost me a fortune

There is an option to select ONCE, if I do this the light stays on all day and goes off at night when the second timed program for my heating has finished does this mean it is warming my water all day? If so how is this different from the timer? Or does it come on in the morning heat my tank up once and thats it unless I overide?

Sorry for waffling on just trying to best explain what I mean

Thanks
