potterton fireside 50-how do i light it?

I have a old potterton fireside 50 back boiler. Had a new gas meter fitted other day by the gas board and he turned off the pilot light. the igniter is not working and trying to relight it with a taper but not sure how to do it. Can anybody point me in the right direction? tried waving taper but doesn't light.

get whoever fitted the meter back he should have lit it and purged the pipework before he left

guy said he wasnt supposed to relight it incase there were any problems. he was from enterprise. was he lying? also told us that we should have ventilation in the room. maye this is why he didnt want to do it. just want to know where to light it as its cold
