I have a potterton 2 years old, would ignite but not stay lit. i have followed an earlier reply and disconnected the wire from condensate trap and it works

is it safe to leave it runnung with this wire off

No. Most likely your condensate pipe is frozen. Don't leave the wire off. It's for safety

I have checked if the pipe is frozen and it isnt, I think the sensor is wet

Ok....dry it off, then give it a 2 minute blast with the hair dryer to get all trace of moisture then reconnect. Boiler should fire

Thanks very much for your help, I have re connected it and it works, never had this problem before ( many others but not this)
