Hello
I have a Potterton Lynx 2 that came with the house. I have lived here about 1 year with the odd thunk noise happening from which I have had to reset it and everything is fine.

However.... Now the pressure gauge is below 1 (ie in the red) and say every one in ten times the boiler is used, after turning off the hot tap, it makes a wonderful grinding noise with a lot of gurgling for about 30 seconds (much like when your stomach is hungry x 100). I then have to reset it and it is fine for a bit longer. Other than this no other problems. So how do I increase the pressure (if possible step by step would be good as I don't understand the loop thing) Or do I need to call the experts in.

Very grateful for any advice

David

search for filling loop, question is, why has it lost its pressure, for that you will need a heating engineer, but try thre former first
