potterton not igniting

i have a potterton 50e and its just devloped a fault, the boiler tries to ignite,the pump is running but the fan stops and starts about five times before it ignites , it's doing this every time the thermostate turns on

Most likely the pcb common fault on Profile and Prima boilers.

thanks i've just spotted a recon one on ebay for £30 i'll give it a try

arty, check the plug-in connection [ white ] has been known to give problems.
