Hi,
I have a potterton 28i boiler set to pre heat the hot water into the boiler store. During normal hot water operation and central heating the boiler does not make any noise but... at night when the boiler has not been used for a while and the boiler has heated the same hot water in the store several times the boiler starts to make a loud kettling sound as if the water is boiling up.
Could this be a problem with the hot water sensor? - How can I check this sensor is working correctly or would it be best to just change it?
If it isnt the sensor what else would cause this noise?
