I have replace the central heating return pump, as the old one started leaking. Drained the system completely as the old water was as black as night. Put everything back together refilled the tank in the loft and added a bottle of fernox. Tried to recommission the system however switched on heard and felt the heat exchange pump run heard a load of bubbles from within the boiler and then the burner light for a few moments, switched off as i thought rightly that i had a air lock in the central heating store. I pushed water from the outside tank through the drain tap on the outside of the boiler until water came out of the overflow and into the F&E tank. Tried then to recomission however the burn will not light. The fan works the ingintion clicks like mad but no burner.
Is there a safety switch which will have popped out which needs resetting to let the boiler work??
Can anybody Help, getting desperate not hot water or heating from 4 days !!!

Is the Powermax 155 same as Powermax HE? I think not. Check on Partsarena.

Many thanks all. Pressed the little red button to the left of the fan and the other to the far left by the the corner of the casing and the boiler started first time.

Great, who says these boilers are bad !!!!!

The boilers are fine but if the system water was black then you will probably need to do more than just throwing in a can of Fernox!
