Potterton Puma 80 - rad thermostats and no heating

We have just moved to a house with the above boiler - so getting used to it.

Hot water working fine.

All rads except one have thermostats. No room thermostat.

We have the option of choosing central heating on timed or constant.

If heating is on constant it works great.

If we have the heating on timed, the rads are not always getting warm - ie heating not firing up when timer set time reached.

However, heating was on timed last night and rads did get hot.

Any ideas please
