I have a Potterton Suprima 100 boiler which had a new PCB a few years back (the new style PCB with the black exposed reset button). It is a pressurised system with Megaflow cylinder.
UPDATE The boiler has the 'calling for heat' yellow flashing light but nothing happens - maybe for 2 hours - but then it tries to start, making these noises:
click-clunk, few seconds pause (the clunk is a relay sound)
click-clunk, few seconds pause
click-clunk, few seconds pause (then sometimes the pump runs for a second or two and green light flashes briefly)
etc etc
and then eventually it comes to life, burns properly for a couple of hours... and then the cycle starts again.
So the long and the short of it, is that:
1. It works for a few hours then
2. It doesn't work for a few hours - just sits there in silence with a blinking yellow light and eventually after many, many attempts, it works very well.
(the No Nonsense Cleaner I added 3 days ago has resulted in the radiators being hotter than they have ever been - is this relevant?)
Please, any ideas anyone? Can it be a faulty PCB with this behaviour?
