Hi Can anybody advise me about the above problem.

I have the indicator light flashing amber green and then going to red (lockout), reset button starts whole process again but no heat to radiators.

Central heating pump in airing cupboard next to cylinder seems very hot. 3 way motorised valve next to it.
Is the possible fault the valve or the pump.
Smell of hot plastic in airing cupboard

sounds like the pump, but many things to check, power to the pump?is it spinning?check system water pressure/header tank...
