4 yr old boiler has started making metallic rattling noise but seems to working fine otherwise. Engineer claims \\\"unusual\\\" but seems to suspect \\\"back plate to the heat exchanger\\\" Planning to replace heat exchanger. Any experiences of this and cause?
It's a Suprima, of course it rattles. You could look at the motor-cooling "fan" which is on the same shaft as the fan proper, motor side. They come loose on the shaft.
Awfully badly made fans which cost silly money. Like most others on that though.
