Hi,

I'm new to this forum so thanks in advance for any helpful responses.

I have a Potterton Suprima 60 HE boiler which has been in operation for about three years without any problems. This morning I noticed that though the fan in the boiler is working away to purge the flue and that the correct lights are showing on the panel ie. only the right hand light is flashing green the pump is not coming on in the airing cupboard and the boiler is not igniting.

Ironically, when I turn both CH and HW to off the fan continues to work and then only way I can turn it off is by isolating it at the main fuses switch which provides power into the system.

I have checked that the pump is not seized and it is not, and also I have ascertained that there is no power going to the pump.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Cheers

The pump should be powered by the boiler. But a faulty pump would not give that symptom.

All the evidence points to a failed PCB. Thats quite an expensive part perhaps around £200.

If that were the case then a fixed price repair might be better value.
