Potterton Suprina 50Locked out and very hot

Hi Guys
We have a Potterton Suprima 50 Boiler which has locked out with red
flashing light
Tried to reset this and found that the Boiler tries to fire
there is a buzzing noise as if the Fan is stuck
and the housing around the top of the Boiler near the Flue becomes extremely hot
Also how do you open the front of the boiler to investigate further

Quite urgent as we have no Hot water

flick the immersion heater on and call a gas engineer in the morning.

OP dont take the case off you may get hot water but also you could get CO poisoning!

Exactly!

You need a gas registered engineer.

It could well be the fan and you should tell the engineer that its a "50" as there are three different fans for Suprimas depending on the power output.
