Hi all
We're having a new heating system installed, replacing a Ravenheat combi with a Worcester Bosch 30CDI and 300L unvented cylinder.
The plumber's quote included a 'cold water flush' by default, with a power flush being a £490 optional extra. He's not given it the hard sell at all, likening it to choosing how often to replace the oil in your car.
They've installed a WB magnetic filter on the return, so given that the house was built in 1960 but had all radiators replaced in 2007, would you say I should bother with a power flush?
I presume the cold water flush would still involve the use of chemicals and inhibitors?
Many thanks.
