Have been advised by the Baxi engineer to get my central heating and boiler powerflushed as I keep getting an error appear E110.
If this error appears again they will replace the main heat exchanger as it could be blocked.
These are the instruction i have been given to do the job:
Note thermostat radiator valve and lock shields settings on all rads.
Clean magnaclean.
Put powerflush machine in garden.
Connect machine to mains water.
Shut hall rad thermostat radiator valve and lock shield.
Drain and take off rad.
Connect machine to these rad tails.
Open thermostat radiator valve and lock shield on rad.
Open ALL thermostat radiator valve and lock shield.
Start up machine.
DO NOT USE HOT TAPS WATER.
In machine add sludge remover and leave for at least hour.
Turn off ALL thermostat radiator valves
Open thermostat radiator valve on ONE rad only.
Start machine for 5 minutes.
Reverse flow for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes dump dirty water from machine until clean like tap water.
Fill up machine again if needed.
On next rad open thermostat radiator valve.
On previous flushed rad close thermostat radiator valve.
Clean Magnaclean.
Carry on to last rad.
When done add inhibitor to machine and leave running for 10 minutes. I'm going to add via towel rail.
Disconnect machine.
Clean hall rad with hose.
Re connect hall rad.
Bleed rads.
My question is is this right, also will it flush out the boiler?
DONE.
