:( I needed to lower the sensor in my living room so I could put up coving unfortunatly the wiring wasn't long enough so I lenghened the wires , making sure I connected all the wires correctly . Now I haven't got power to any of the sensors nor the hallway key pad. Is there a reset button in the main panel or may I have blown a fuse or something , can anyone please help.. The system is scantronic 9448+

You've shorted the cable and blown a fuse. They are little glass gismos inside the panel and you can usually see that it's burnt out by looking towards the light. If you've got a meter then that's even better.

Could you tell me where I might obtain a new fuse and what amperage they are likely to be and will the alarm sound when I enter the main panel

You may be lucky and find a fuse inside the panel.

Yes the tamper will sound inside the house but not outside. Just enter your number to shut it up.

I think from memory it is a 1 amp fuse and you can get them at any electrical shop.

If you pull the wrong fuse out you'll set off the outside siren so try and get the right one.
