Power socket

I have a power socket about a foot above the skirting board, i plan on fitting a TV on the wall and so would like to have a power point behind the TV so all cables are behind the wall. Does a spur have to come off the socket and back up or if the original socket is in line can this be wired in and then the one near the floor becomes the spur??

You can change the current socket to a FCU to feed the TV if that answers your question.
