PowerMax Bolier 140 / 155 Locked Out

Hi, I have a Powermax 140 or 155 bolier that is locked out, and a soft reset using the minus and enter buttons makes no difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions please before I call the plumber?

I have power, gas, etc so have tried all the obvious things but thought the fan works and the unit is trying to light it just won't seem to light and we are all starting to smell!

thanks, might just be getting too late but I now have the main part of the bolier off (the bottom) as well as th top section but cannot see any buttons? Can you be more specific?

You should have a manual with the boiler which you can read to get all the information.

If you dont have one and cannot find one to download on the internet the usual advice would be to call a competent boiler engineer.

As BG have killed a girl and her dog with one of these boilers some enginers are reluctant to come out to them.

EDIT, sorry it was not a girl and her dog, they were killed by a gas fire. It was an adult home owner with a BG service contract. We still dont have the full details of what happened as they are still deciding if a prosecution is pending.

Don't call a plumber!
You need a specialist heating engineer who is fully up to speed on Powermax boilers (few and far between).

Powermax boilers need regular servicing, when was your last done?
