I have read the topic on levelling very uneven wooden floor. This may be a bit extreme for my needs.
We have recently refurbished the house and upstairs is ready to carpet (all but ...). However, the floor boards have been up and down so many times and now have joints to the extension that there are some loose, some dodgy, lots of gaps etc.
I have considered simply covering with a ply to get a good surface to carpet. I thought a standard 6mm ply should do the job.
Has anyone got any thoughts as to whether that sounds reasonable?
Cheers
