I am renovating a shower room, have removed the tiles from the shower area and am leaving the shower base in place as it is decent and solid.
In removing tiles, it exposed a gap all round between wall and base up to 30mm deep. I intend to fill this with expandable foam and cut it to the same level as the wall. Will the air gaps in the foam exposed by trimming cause the plasterer a problem, or is there a better way of doing this?
Also how long should I leave the skimmed plaster before tanking?
Many thanks for help.
