I have solid wood flooring to lay and want to prepare my subfloor so that it is level and so will give the best finish.
My subfloor is a concrete base which has had floorboards plugged and screwed so they are solidly fixed, however there are a few slight differences in height so want to rectify this before laying my new floor.
I was thinking about using a self leveller to give myself a perfect surface to work off, but not sure what type i should be using...if any, plus then i am not sure what best method to use to install the new solid wood flooring.
I was thinking of floating it which is suggested on the manufacturers instructions, although nailing it would be my preferred method although not sure if this possible on my current subfloor.
Any help will be greatly appreciated as i need to start this asap.
Thanks
Ian
