Hi,
I have pretty ugly old concrete slab in back garden. Unfortunately I had built deck on top of some parts, and removing it anyway would be a hassle. Instead I'm thinking about putting resin bound gravel on top of it, as it seams it will look both good and function well. The job seems pretty straightforward for DIY, as its only 11m2 but I have 2 concerns.
1. the slab holds water currently. So I was thinking I could somehow perforate it before putting on new surface. Would drilling in couple of holes and filling with small gravel do the trick, or thats just nonsense?

2. There is currently manhole cover and I would like to replace it with something like this https://skyplastics.co.uk/460mm-rou...6q7OHZQWLVOfTNIj-ykiB99df-VF-LnRoCbLsQAvD_BwE so it can be invisible. Although the surface around is in the slope, so it might get difficult? I can't find anything suitable that is round.
Or I should just try to put the surface over it like this image?
