How do I prepare walls for skimming?
Thus far I have scraped back layers of paper to get down to the bare wall and/or plasterboard.....I have used a wallpaper steamer remover to help.....
is there anything else I should do to prepare the wall best for the plasterer?......
Now that I have removed paper etc I can seek hair line cracks.
Is it the same process for removing wallpaper and/or paint from ceiling?
Some of the old walls have no paper and have just been painted - what is the best way to prepare these walls....sand them down using mouse sander? If I could achieve a good finish doing this on the painted only walls using a sander then I may not need to have these walls plastered/skimmed......thank you
