Pressure Equalizing Valve

Hi,

I have unbalanced feeds to my future shower, cold on main and pumped hot.

My question is, rather than using a purpose built pressure equalizing valve before the shower, do some showers/mixers have them built into them!

No they don't, and PEV's aren't designed to my knowledge, for such a wide range of input pressures

I thought that was what they were designed for, I know they tend to be 3 bar max!

Reliance recommend using in-line filters before PEV

Are these normally bothered with may I ask

Just trying to get an opinion as to whether I should fit them or not......the valve itself would be assessable for maintainance!
