Hi

I have a combi boiler installation. I've replaced radiator valves to TRVs recently and they work fine. The problem is that I added water (+inhibitor) originally and achieved 1.2bars (cold). After a couple of days I noticed the pressure went up to 2bars. I removed some water from the system to lower the pressure to 1.2. After a week, it's 2bars again!

What should I do and why it is happening?

Thanks,
S.

i know, i thought the same, but it wasnt a problem before, there are two valves - both shut and also it goes up to 2 bar only, no more...

I may try to disconnect it but how do I do that? just turn off the mains?

Nah you should be able to just unscrew the flexi at one end, if it's passing you'll get wet

Is the heating on when you see 2bar? From 1.2 to 2bar with heating on is ok, not quite optimal but acceptable depending on your boiler model/design etc.

Depending what boiler you have, if the filling loop is disconnected then it can only be a holed plate HE.
