pressure washer oil.

can anyone tell me what oil is needed for my pressure washer pump please.i have changed the pump ,but i dont know what type of oil i need any one have a clue.thanks.

Its not one of those Power Pro 5 hp petrol ones is it - the one with the cast alloy pump (that always cracks)?

it is a 5.5 hp washer,thats about all i know aqbout it.its not leaking any water,but i start it up, and when i press the trigger the engine goes low,and it as cut out 3 times.i cant get it to pump as well as it was doing.

I haven't come across this particular problem before, but pumps usually have 3 pistons driven by a plate cam - this in turn forces water into a chamber (via valves) thats then expelled down the lance when the trigger is pulled. In your case, its back pressure (the pump can't expel the water) thats causing your machine to stall.
Its time, I think, to strip out the front end of the pump, and check out the pressure release valve, and the other valves for debris.
