Hi,

I've been quoted 250 quid for the following:

install a tile vent on main semidetached roof.
replace two tiles on one storey garage
clean gutters round the house
install soffit vents round the house.

I would be providing the materials.

Does this sound reasonable?
He would be working from a ladder.

If its the house on the left then you got a good deal, if its the white house on the right you can knock him down a tad.

he says it needs two of them one holding the ladder.
I think i'll go for it.

sounds a bloody good price to me, pain in the wotsit doing the soffit vents from the ladder though as it will have to be continually moved along.

Is it best to use a ubbink ub5 or ub27 plastic roof vent or a standard universal vent?

They look like Redland Grovebury tiles,

100% not grovebury, they have a double wave on them, i'd go with anglia's as well
