Any idea of relative tensile strength? Is this the way forward? Seems to me that after a nuclear war when flies will be abundant, clothing made of spider silk may be of some benefit

I've no idea of the physical properties of these garments, apart from when it was mentioned that they seem weightless when placed in someone's hand. Though I read somewhere that spider silk is far stronger than ordinary silk.
Fabulous things though, they remind me of some fabled garment from an old legend.
