prima lpr dishwasher trips fuse

hi i am a newbe can any one please tell why my prima lpr dish washer is playing up i turned it on on 40r wash it run till near end of program and flipped the main fuse and now if i try to turn it on it instantly flips the fuses out any ideas please thanks

hi yes it flips out the main rcd fuse then i have to press the off button on dish washer before i can flip fuse back over if i try to put washer back on it flips rcd again the model is a prima LPR600 its a fitted dishwasher so canot see any other numbers without taking it all out and i dont have the hand book thanks

Just to check, the thing that trips is the RCD, and has a"T" or "test" button on it, which causes it to trip in the same way, and is marked "test regularly" or something like that?

might be a water leak dripping onto electrics, though dishwashers are usually designed to avoid that. You might be able to see damp on the floor under the machine.

If it happens when the heating element is "on" then it could be that the insulation in the element has broken down, this happens with age. If you set it to a "rinse and hold" (unheated) and it does not trip, it's probably that.

you can probably find an instruction manual online.
