Hi,

After help on another thread I have now established what is happening with my central heating.

I have a primatic cylinder and I will be replacing this in 6-12months times. However, in the mean time I would like to rip out all the old unsightly central heating copper coming down my walls in every room.

Can I drain down and cap the 2 coil connections temporarily and use the cylinder as a direct cylinder only feeding the hot water heated via an immersion heater until I can replace everything?

Thanks

Yes, as long as you cap the 2 primary connections on side of cylinder, can't think of a reason not to.
