Hi
I have drained my primatic tank recently and since refilling it SLOWLY with a pipe connected between the the cold water tap and the boiler drain cock, THE PRIMARY FLOW FROM THE BOILER TO THE HEAT EXCHANGER PART OF THE PRIMATIC TANK ALMOST APPEARS AS THOUGH IT IS BLOCKED. (water in copper tank is not heating up.) The primary feed pipe gets hot almost to where it enters the copper tank but the return pipe remains cold.
The secondary(central heating pumped) is working fine.
When I drained the system I did not completly drain the primatic tank via it's own drain cock. Should I have done this?
Could the Heat exchanger in the primatic tank be blocked and if so can it be flushed out? Any suggestions or advice to get it working until warmer weather would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Bernie.
