PRINTER PROBLEM

i keep getting a message from my epson c42ux printer saying......

parts in your printer have come to an end to there life take it in for a service.

can i by pass this programme anyway and get it working again.

i have reinstalled drivers but i still get the same message

Strange idea, but try to change the date of your PC say to last year. See if the error message is related to manufactured date or if it is really a diagnostic error. Had a problem on an HP printer once when it said the cartridges had expired. Changed the date on the PC and hey presto prints fine. Just another way they try to rip you off.

I've had printers which count the Drum usage and complain when it's done as many pages as the makers think it should. Sometimes in the printer management there is a way to reset the counter.

But maybe you should start saving up for a new one.
