Hello, first post, so bear with me (newbie DIY'er)

What is the stuff that is smeared over windows during decorating/refurbishment to block the view of passers by. I've got the idea (vaguely) that it's old style Windowlene original cream.

Cheers breezer, I'd have tried it myself before posting except that I haven't seen the original stuff for years, it seems to be all spray versions these days.
