I have a problem with the central heating part of my "Gledhill systemate 2000 thermal storage system" (the hot water part works fine) - hope someone can help!
Firstly, it is a 4-year old system situated on the 2nd floor of a 3-storey town house.
We have had the CH turned off since spring, but I have also recently changed a radiator on the top floor to a towel rail - so may have bu**ered something up myself.
The problem is that the CH comes on - runs for a period of time, and then although the CH pump is still running the radiators start to cool down - it's as if a bypass has kicked in. The CH pump is also intermittantly noisy.
When the system is cold the pressure gauge next to the boiler reads 1.5 bar, and goes up to approx 1.8 bar when the CH is running.
Can someone tell me if I have overpressurised the system or give me any advice on what may be wrong? Thanks in advance.
