Hi, my washer stopped spinning so i changed the brushes as they were quite short; it then started to work again until it was on its final spin, it tripped the electric as one of the brushes had come out - i have now put it back in but it as stopped spinning again - everything else is working fine.
So any ideas on whats wrong???
Many thanks
Caz

One possibility is the loose brush has caused a short circuit in the motor and blown the the programmer. there is a 6amp fixed fuse block on the timer board which you can measure continuity. It is located at the top of the pcb on the programmer, if my memory serves me well. I do not think hotpoint would supply this component separate (it is a solder in component) even though this is probably open circuit and a fresh fuse block would cure the problem as the short circuit has now been removed from the motor.therefore unfortunately I think you may require a complete new programmer
