Problem with my Gainsborough 10.5kW shower?

Hi,

I woke up this morning to find my shower broke! When you turn it on, the pressure is extremely low, and the water is red hot! The shower unit hisses similar to a boiling kettle....

What is wrong with this shower (apart from it being a Gainsborough!)?

Can this be fixed?

Or should I buy a new shower?

Sounds like the element can is scaled up. You can often replace these cans but whether it is worth it depends on the price you will pay for repair compared to new installation cost.
