Problem with Potterton Puma 80e boiler

Hello,

Can anyone advise on a problem with our Puma 80e boiler. This morning it was locked and when I reset it the flame ignited for about 20 seconds before locking out again. It is also making a clunking noise when it tries to light. We had a bad experience with a boiler repair man before so any advice to help us before calling in the 'experts' would be hugely appreciated!

Could be the pump or fan making the noise

does it lock out everytime? On HW or heating/ both. does its stay lit?
