prd (pressure relief device) has activated.
most common cause. twisted hose withing the chrome hose, blocked showerhead.

you must find the cause before fitting new one as it will activate straight away.

These also activate when the waters been off, you have to open the stop tap really slowly. Phone triton for spares.

Ahh, thought it was somekind of pressure relife.

if I Untwist the hose or clear whatevers blocking it will the PRV still leak now its been opened? whats involved in changing them?

thanks alot guys

No its goosed once its gone, never changed one so dont know the ins and outs, but tennant in one house where this happened said it only took minutes to fix hers.

just remove the two outlet screws securing it to the tank and the prd behind will pull out.
