Problem with timer on Select 920 by Diplomat

when I got up this morning, the clock on the oven was flashing as it does when there has been a power cut. I reset the clock and it was fine. Later on it was flashing again. I attempted to reset the clock again, but now it will not reset and has got stuck in auto timer mode. However, in the auto timer mode I cannot set the 'Oven on' time period to be more than I minute. Hence, the oven keeps switching off after 1 minute. We have had this oven since 1998.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
