Problems with Cannon Gas Fire cannot get it to Stay Lit

Hello all,

Having problems with my gas fire. I can get the pilot to light however cant get it to stay lit after depressing the ignition knob. Also after taking the fire apart to see if cleaning would help and if the thermocouple was ok i seen that more than the pilot comes on. Any ideas whats wrong?

Generally a simple issue but e cant give gas advice here. Engage a Gas Safe RGI that has FIRE experience AND is registered for fires:

Thanks for your reply. I understand why you cant give gas advice. Do you know what it could be? If so, do you know a cost to get it repaired?
