Hi newby to the forum! need help in more ways than but!
just tried to chnage wired room stat for wireless. the existing has 3 wires plus earth red, blue and yellow. new reciver was connected via perm live and netrual and used switched live with link from l to a( new reciever is honeywll bdr91). set up as trial first with cables and all worked boiler fired etc.. then put in place by piping , this then blew the fused spur connecting to the honey well wiring centre (fused version). unfortunatley only had 13a fuse to go back in !!! this thenmade the fuse blow and flash in the wiring centre. After popping out to local store and insert new fuses. the system does not work. the programmer does not light up. got 240v at wirign centre but on about 50v going back to the programmer and after removing the programmer 50v ther also. Thinking that the wiring centre may be shot. Not having difficult being sunday tomorrow and only being able to get 10way wiring centre would this be okay. what are the chances that the wirign centre is blown rather than the programmer? would the reciever being placed close to the pipes have caused this?
thank in hope of help
