Can someone please help me with this Wireless Thermostat/Programmer, I am an end user by the way

My mum has gone on holiday and has left me a note asking to set the unit up in her absence, previously she turns the unit on and off manually

I'm trying to get my head round the 6 daily temperature level changes that the unit offers

I can't find anywhere in the user guide how to turn off the heating at a given time as like with other units I have used

I am trying to set the heating to come on for 2 hours in the morning 7.30-9.30am, and also another 3 hours in the evening between 7.30-10.30pm

All advice would be greatly appreciated
regards

I have the 907 (which is the same programmer but without the wireless thermostat).

What you get is 6 temps per day. So to do what you want you need to set

7:30am on - temperature eg 19C
9:30am off - so set it to ~15C or lower

do the same for settings 3 and 4 to get it on and off in the evening. Leave 5 and 6 as the same as number 4 (they will default to the number 4 setting as you set it up).

I set mine up so that 3,4,5,6 divide up the evening. That way if I get cold and up the temp at say 7pm, when it gets to the next period (eg #4 is 8pm on mine) it resets back to programme rather than staying high all night.

PS Caveat is - we've only have CH for 1.5 weeks so we're still learning too. But when I asked for advice 2 weeks ago I didn't get any replies.

Many thanks for your quick reply, I will have a fiddle with it tomorrow, what you explained does make sense, just couldn't see it in the manual

Thanks again

You simply set a very low target temperature for the periods you don't desire the heating to come on.

However the timeless wonderment of a prog stat is obviously lost on you. If you keep the property at a CH minimum temp (rather than OFF), fabric degradation is less likely to occur and less energy is used warming it up again (in most circumstances).

Hi,

Imagine it as this:

1=morning ON
2=morning OFF
3= lunch ON
4=lunch OFF
5=evening ON
6=evening OFF

As simond explained, you can still ask for heat on the OFF settings on a lower temperature, so if it drops too low it will still fire up to bring it back to a reasonable ambient temperature( e.g 16oC) although most customers i know dropp the temp down to 5oC so it won't come on at all.

If you don't want a lunch time setting, simply enter 3-4 with the same time.
