prv activating when using hot water

i've already posted an update on an older thread re this but i thought i should start a new thread for this

i have a potterton puma 100e combi boiler and the prv sometimes activates but only when there's a hot tap running for a while , what could cause this ?

the pressure vessel seems fine with no water coming out of the valve and it is now maintaining it's initial charge after replacing the shraeder valve


any thoughts

My first thought is, when was the boiler serviced last? If it was, how long did it take?

it's been some time since the boiler was last serviced , can't even remember when it was to be honest

You need a gas engineer here, not a small problem. Possible: Expansion vessel broken, leak from mains water into central heating water.
