PS3 X 360 ?

360 is best value for money by far.....

If your going to buy a ps3, then dont bother.... Its too expensive. The retailers are making a huge mark up on them at the moment.... Best PS3 deals will be around xmas time, so hold on to you wad....

Alternat, go buy a 360 and a Wii.... you will get both for the same price as a ps3, and the online gaming is far better in the 360 at the moment.

Oh one upsde for Ps3 if you want to throw money away, is the F1 racing game.... If you have a PSP then you can set it up and use it as a wingmirror.... or if you have two then you could have two wingmirrors...... But if if you do have two psp then your plain old SAD SAD SAD.

wonderering which is best ..
Depends what you mean by best.

I agree that the PS3 has a huge price tag and I for one will be waiting for it to drop considerably before I think about getting one. In theory it does have slightly better hardware than the 360, which if coded for correctly, could make more realistic games.

For me a console is all about games and gameplay though. Realistic graphics are a nice to have, but I'd prefer to be hooked on the gameplay not because it looks more like a film. For that reason the most interesting of current consoles, for me, is the wii. They've taken a risk and pumped out a lower powered console, encouraged playable games and designed what looks like an amazingly fun way to play them.

However, I've not tried any of these console yet so it's just my opinion :)

Utter Hogwash, PS3 all the way, worth it for the blu ray player alone. Retailers making a huge mark up, tripe, Sony sell 'em at a large loss

Well if you've got neither and are going to get one the 360 has hundreds of diverse games to choose from which can be bought for around £25 or less whereas the PS3 has only a handful of mediocre titles atm. You can get superb 360 deals atm, esp with the stealthy black 360 out soon, you can only just get PS3 for under £400 at the mo.

360 definately! Better online play, more games, much cheaper!

I wouldn't care about the whole blu-ray thingy - we're not far away from ditching DVDs altogther (I can already download HD movies from Sky Anytime!)

Errr yeah, ok.

There was an interested piece on Sky News this morning about the death of the video shop and how we'll be downloading our movies within five years!

Was the reporter William Woollard? :D

There have been so many cases of errors reported on Xbox 360 the biggest one is the 3 red lights or error 0102 which actually happened to me. Fortunately I found a great solution in a tech support site:

Here is the page for xbox 360 support just so you can see how many errors this machine has...

On the ps3 I didn't hear on to many problems.

Let me put it this way.

I have a 360, a Wii and a PS3.

Of those 3, the only ones that get any use are the last 2.

The Wii is a great party machine, its fun to use, even non-gamers can play and finally you can get fit by gaming!!!!! Bonus!!!!!

The PS3. Yes, it costs a fortune, but you get what you are paying for. A super high quality (less than a .1% failiure rate) console, that not only plays games, but plays DVDs and Blu-ray movies. All that while being a truely magnificent media centre streaming content off the HD/ card slot readers and any computers on the same network. There are only a few games out at the moment, but that will be over by the end of the year. Besides, the current crop of games, Resistance, Motorstorm, RR7, etc, are all excellent games in their own right.

.... and the final clincher? Playstation Home. No console has anything like this. Just google it.
