Hi,

As stated in the title, i'm trying to fix a friend's Pulsacoil 2000 185. She has no hot water at all. (Although when i went round, the tiniest amount of luke warm water came out the tap and then it went to cold, stone cold)

The symptoms are:

- The F&E tank is filled to the correct level
- The led on the PCB is flashing normally (2 flashes per second).
- When both fuse spurs on the wall are switched on the upper immersion heater boss is warm, the lower is less warm.
- The pump doesn't start up when a DHW draw off is opened.
- The pump is free to turn.
- There is no electricity going to the pump, this was tested at the yellow plug contacts. (obviously on the PCB side of the yellow connector)

Could it be the wet sensor and so no juice is going to the plug? If so, whereabouts within the unit is this wet sensor? Or could it still be an electrical problem within the control board?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Peter

useally in that situation i have changed both flow/return thermistors and that has cured the problem.

thanks seco, whereabouts are these located in the unit and where can i purchase them from? Are they both identical to eachother?

I'm having a similar problem with my Pulsacoil 145, the water in the tank is heating up both stores, but the heat exchanger is cold and i'm getting tepid water from the taps.

The pump is working ok and i have vented it and there is water in the overhead tank.

Peter, did you replace the temperature sensors and did it work?

Also seco services, are both the sensors the same ie. GT153
