Having a spot of bother with the old girl. worked well for ages but now the low pressure heating switch light comes on and stays on till i change the switch. works ok for a few hours then comes back on again.
At the moment the wife is complaining that theres no heating and its cold.
I say put a bloody jumper on. Anyway to keep her happy have by passed the switch and keeping an eye on the pressure gauge. Bit its time to go to the pub.
Can some body help?
Apart from taking the wife with me to the pub that is.
Help help.
By the way Im no plumber or electician so plan and simple please.

Drink more beer until you feel able to pick up a copy of the local pages and call out a plumber, or if unable to do this get the barman to do it on your behalf :!:

Are you saying you've been putting new pressure switches in and they "fail" in a few hours?
Fail in this context is through dirt blocking them. Ususlly you can poke out the orifice with a bent paperclip and put it back for a couple of years or more.

When you say you bypassed the switch - what did you do, exactly? Doesn't sound right!
