Hi All,
Every winter our Puma 80 packs up which is a nightmare.. I'm sitting here with a few jumpers at the mo.
I'm not sure what's happened to it this time.. it started off with no power going to it which we found to be the fuse on the pcb.. replace that and now that works again. However, someone else was trying to fix it and was fiddling with a u-pipe which we have connected between the return isolating valve and flow isolating valve.. this is what we use to repressurize the system when it says low pressure. However, it looks like it was left at low pressure all night and now we can't get any hot water or central heating.
When I turn on the hot water, I get a click and hum.. looks like all it tickety boo except that the burner doesn't kick in... the pilot light is lit though and I wonder whether enough gas is reaching it (perhaps the pipes for the gas are blocked?).
Also, when i turn on the hot water tap, I get a red light on the PCB.. I don't know if this is normal or not.
I don't know anything about plumbing though.. are there any basic things for me to check before I call a plumber?
Thanks guys
