Hi,

I want to flush my central heating system and have been advised to remove the pump and replace it with a piece of pipe. Is there a piece of pipe I can buy to fit in place of the pump fillings or will I have to remove the fittings and replace with a couple of compression joints and a short pice of 22mm?

Thanks,
Ralph.

Sorry, I should have said, this is a new system. Can the pump still be left in?

Thanks! That saves me a lot of trouble. When you say powerflush do you mean at mains pressure?

Oh... Is there a DIY alternative? I only want to wash out any dust and rubbish that might have got into the pipework during installation. All the flow and returns ar in 22mm copper so there are no restrictions. the narrowest part of the system must be the drain cock.
